The fine print

Policies.

A few notes on how we make, ship, and stand behind our work. Please read through before placing your order — every Jolie Marche piece is made by hand in our small studio, and these policies reflect that.

Processing & Shipping

Every Jolie Marche piece is made to order. Our fabrics are hand-printed in small batches, then cut and sewn for your order specifically. For this reason, please allow 14–21 business days for your order to ship.

Swatches and yardage will ship slightly quicker, but please allow us time to print these to order. We are unable to cancel swatch orders once they have been submitted. If you need swatches quicker than our normal processing, please read out to us at hello@joliemarche.com an we will try to accommodate you.

Orders often go out sooner. Sometimes a fabric is en route to the studio, or queued for the next print run, and we'd rather give the work the time it needs than rush a piece out the door. We're one small team, and every cover passes through the same pair of hands before it ships to you.

Anything listed as ready to ship leaves the warehouse within 5–7 business days.

If you need a piece by a specific date, please email us before placing your order.

Shipping details

  • Orders ship via USPS with tracking. Shipping is calculated by weight at checkout.
  • Upgrading to Priority Mail doesn't shorten our processing time in the studio.
  • If you choose USPS Ground Advantage, this option doesn't include insurance. For added peace of mind, we recommend Priority Mail or UPS.

Once it's in the mail

Jolie Marche isn't responsible for packages marked as DELIVERED. If your package is shown as delivered and hasn't arrived, or if it arrives damaged, please file a claim directly with the carrier.

International orders

Orders shipping outside the U.S. may be subject to import fees, duties, or taxes — these charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Insert Sizing

Most covers on our site are 22" or 24", styled with a down insert sized 2" larger than the cover.

A few sizing notes

  • Square covers. Size your insert up 2" for a full, snug fit.
  • Lumbar covers. Don't size up. Our lumbar covers run about 1" smaller than the listed size so the insert fills the cover properly.

Be gentle with the zipper seams when you stuff your cover. Our seams are reinforced, but excessive strain can cause damage over time.

The trick for a perfect pillow, every time

  1. Lay your insert face up, with the open zipper at the bottom of the cover.
  2. Fold the insert in half before placing it inside the cover.
  3. Holding the fold, slide the insert all the way into the cover.
  4. Once it's fully inside and clear of the zipper, release the fold and let it lay flat.
  5. Push the corners of the cover into the corners of the insert, and zip.

Refunds & Exchanges

We don't offer refunds. Because each piece is made to order, every cover begins its life specifically for you.

We're glad to offer a one-time exchange for a product of equal or greater value if you reach out within 14 days of receiving your order.

  • The piece must be in original condition — unwashed and unused.
  • Return postage is the buyer's responsibility.
  • The returned item needs to arrive within 14 days of exchange approval.
  • Sale pricing can't be honored on exchanges — current pricing will apply.
  • Exchange store credits are valid for 180 days.

Studio Samples are final sale. Special order sizes are final sale.

Cancellations

Orders begin processing the moment they're placed. Because everything is made to order, payment is taken at the time of purchase and your order is submitted to print right after.

For these reasons, we aren't able to cancel, modify, or change an order once it's been submitted.

Damages

We inspect every piece before it leaves the studio. If something arrives damaged, please reach out within 10 days of receipt and we'll process a replacement.

Appearance

A few things to know about handmade and hand-printed textiles:

  • Pattern placement varies. We can't guarantee specific stripe or floral placement.
  • Color and texture variation is part of the work. Small differences in color or texture aren't defects — they're inherent to handmade goods.
  • All Jolie Marche pillow covers have an exposed brass zipper.

Vintage pieces

Our Vintage line is sourced from around the world. These textiles may carry flaws, discoloration, or imperfections consistent with their age. Vintage pillow covers are sold as is and aren't returnable.

Yardage

Fabric sold by the yard is printed to order and is final sale. We strongly recommend ordering a swatch first.

Sale Pricing & Adjustments

Sample sale items are final sale. We occasionally run sales and offer promo discounts. Prior purchases are excluded from these sales, and we don't offer price adjustments for orders placed before a sale begins.

Cleaning & Care

We highly recommend spot cleaning to preserve the vibrancy of our prints. If a full wash is needed, hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.

Questions about any of this? Please reach out — we'd rather hear from you before you order than after.
